Meaning, they know that if they release a game on the PS2, they are going to make money because PS2=Casual Gamers and Casual Gamer=Buy it because of hype. Example: Enter the Matrix.
I can't wait until next gen. when companies want to come back to Nintendo (if Nintendo can pull itself together a little more with the general public). I want to see if Nintendo tries to give them some kind of stipulation. Kind of like right now with Square-Enix and Nintendo.
Oh well, the future is shaped the way it wants.

Enter the Matrix sold to both hardcore and casual gamers.
IMO Nintendo and EA are the kings of hype... I find most of EA's to be true and others find most of Nintendo's to be true
GCN is just like every other console... it has it's share of crappy best-sellers, and good best sellers.

and most hardcore gamers either returned it or were pretty damn pissed off after the first time they played that.

Hardcore gamers should at least have the knowledge to read reviews before buying a game. At least thats what I do.

I wasn't upset with ETM... in fact I liked it, and I think it was well worth the purchase.
But that has nothing to do with me being a casual gamer or not, it has more to do witht he fact that I'm a huge Matrix fanboy

And then Eidos changes it's mind.
Now it's basically saying
"We won't make too many games for it, we will look to see if their is a chance for it to sell"
Of course, the logically thing would be to release them in close promixity and not 6 months later, but eh.

Perhaps Edios ought to concentrate on making better games rather than slagging off Nintendo because their games are either rubbish, or are released months after versions on other formats. Mind you, I've always disliked Edios because their output in general appears to be complete dross, with the excepton being the TimeSplitters series, but as they've managed to lose that as well, they can go **** themselves for all I care.
There, rant over, but it just winds me up when third-rate publishers such as Edios try to blame others for their woeful business practices.
