going into the Saturn vs Playstation years.... or year depending on how long saturn actually lasted

i mean... new company heading into the race against a console giant like Sega? (not to mention Nintendo)
playstation won that hands down. but at the beginning i certainly woulda said Playstation was the underdog...... Didnt saturn also get a head start by releasing thier console first?
