I really don't care if there's first-day DLC for a game.

If anything, I wouldn't mind that. Rather than saying to me "Wow, they didn't put this in the game, what a load of chumps", I think "Wow, they're already prepared for when people beat the game and complain about a massive lack of DLC." (Even though that's not really the case right now).


But if there really is a character you need to play the game, that you need to pay extra for - that is a load of BS.

"Thanks for buying Megaman 10. To start, you'll only be able to play as ProtoMan. The download of Megaman will cost an initial $10"
