Up is nominated for best feature film and animated film?
And the Blind Side? Really? Film was painful to sit through.

I think it's terribly biased that they put Avatar at the top of those lists. Talking about overconfidence.
Anyway, I'm finally going to watch Avatar tonight. We'll see, I'm not getting my hopes up.

Shouldn't Avatar be under Animated Feature Film? Doubt I'll ever see this movie.
Have to check out The Secret of Kells. Hasn't been released in America yet.

Isn't it a sure thing that Up will win best animated if it is nominated for Best Picture?

And Danny, if you don't expect much from it, it will be a very enjoyable movie. Worth your €10 I'd say.

				 Re: Oscar Nominees
I find it odd that the film industry is drastically altering their awards so more people will watch on TV.
Either a movie is the best movie of the year, or it isn't, ratings and box office should have nothing to do with it. That said, I think this is probably a bait and switch and The Hurt Locker will win best picture.

Just realized there are no nominations for The Road, not even for Viggo's acting, which was so damn good. Fuckin Weinstein's screwed it up, again. |
