Yeah same here. MuGen, that's the first thing I tried, it doesn't help.

Normally that happens when you enable a password for your user.

Yes that was going to be my second alternative..

If you set a password for your user / even if it is the only user, it will ask to log in.

No password. I'm sure, because I could just hit enter when it asked me for a password.

It happened out of the blue.

To reach the RAW control panel for User accounts and check what settings you have click START, then RUN..

type in

'Control Userpasswords2' without the quotes

then it should bring up User Account Settings and there should be a checkbox saying "Users must enter username and password to use this computer"

Uncheck that.... unfortunately when you go into Control Panel, into User Accounts... they don't have the option to disable it even though... they SHOULD have the option in there.... I guess it's the whole GUI microsoft was trying to go for.... Try that and see if it works.

I've changed it, but I don't wanna bother to reboot to check. Thanks a lot, I'm pretty sure this will solve it.

But how could it ever have changed?

It changed for me because of a virus program I installed once.

Computers are very random machines; this kind of stuff happens all the time. No use being sad over it.

It didn't.

Even worse, it now gives an error. And 1 time the PC just stopped booting up and I had to reset.
