IGNcube: Finally, what is Pokemon XD?

Reggie: Pokemon XD is a brand new Pokemon game for GameCube. It's a true RPG Pokemon. It's isn't a sequel to Collosseum. It's a brand new build. A brand new game that really plays off the RPG aspects. So think of it this way. If you loved Ruby and Sapphire, you're going to love Pokemon XD for GameCube.

That's what I'm talking about.

Reggie confirms wireless capability of some sort for the Revolution. Sounds like the beginnings of an online strategy, or "no line" as Reggie puts it. Perhaps this is the crux of the Revolution - a wireless online network?

I love how Reggie says Lengend of Zelda will be released this holiday, as if Christmas is only a couple weeks away, what a jerk!

I'd like to have another Mario Gamecube game.

But Pokémon XD should keep me content!

great news for all... i just dont want Zelda to be less than what it deserves to sell because It'll be battling Xbox 2 (which is probably what Nintendo wants to do.. release at same time as Xbox 2)

Reggie: As I said during the E3 briefing last year, for DS it's not about online, but "no line," it's about wireless interactive play. And we're committed to wireless interactive play for DS. Mr. Iwata will have some information about that in his keynote speech. In terms of GameCube, I think in fairness we at Nintendo haven't done a great job of providing the Internet capability tools to our developers to create games for GameCube. We need to address that for all of our future systems and we're doing that. In terms of Revolution and its wireless capability, stay tuned -- more to come. We are absolutely committed to the sense of community and the worldwide sense of playing games against each other. We're going to be delivering that on every future system to the best of our ability.

We're not going to be late to the marketplace. We're going to be on time with our competition, which we've pegged as Sony.

I like how Reggie will admit the faults Nintendo has made and how they are gonna correct them next gen. Gamecube was somewhat newground for Nintendo because it was the first optical disk based console, and was the first time you think about online stuff but that didnt get off the ground.

I think next gen Ninty is gonna try and be more competition'y. Hopefully their faults turn into their greatest strengths

But as for Mario 128, launch title for Revolution. Show off what the system is capable of and make a fun and enjoyable Mario that can be embraced by more.

What I've tried to communicate is that is one point in a long process that we need to get better at. And so again what I think you'll see following this year's E3 is much more communication, much more sharing of assets and other things to keep people pumped for what's coming down the pipe. Only thing that disappointed me in the interview fingersman posted was

1UP: Any clue as to how big Revolution's presence will be at E3?

RFA: Revolution will have a major presence in our presentations, but it will not be accessible on the show floor. It's too early. But there might be some key, selected folks who will have an opportunity to see what we've got going on. I suspect you folks will have some representation. But what we will be doing at E3 this year is sharing our vision for Revolution.
