Re: Mario 128 likely for Revolution
Reggie confirms wireless capability of some sort for the Revolution. Sounds like the beginnings of an online strategy, or "no line" as Reggie puts it. Perhaps this is the crux of the Revolution - a wireless online network?

Re: Mario 128 likely for Revolution
I love how Reggie says Lengend of Zelda will be released this holiday, as if Christmas is only a couple weeks away, what a jerk!
I'd like to have another Mario Gamecube game. But Pokémon XD should keep me content! |
Re: Mario 128 likely for Revolution
great news for all... i just dont want Zelda to be less than what it deserves to sell because It'll be battling Xbox 2 (which is probably what Nintendo wants to do.. release at same time as Xbox 2)

Re: Mario 128 likely for Revolution
I like how Reggie will admit the faults Nintendo has made and how they are gonna correct them next gen. Gamecube was somewhat newground for Nintendo because it was the first optical disk based console, and was the first time you think about online stuff but that didnt get off the ground.
I think next gen Ninty is gonna try and be more competition'y. Hopefully their faults turn into their greatest strengths :) But as for Mario 128, launch title for Revolution. Show off what the system is capable of and make a fun and enjoyable Mario that can be embraced by more. |

Only thing that disappointed me in the interview fingersman posted was

Re: Mario 128 likely for Revolution
Well he really didnt say that it wouldnt entirely be unplayable, just to the show room floor.
|
Re: Mario 128 likely for Revolution
Yeah, I know what he meant by that. Not really 'ready enough' for the showroom floor but behind closed doors show it off to a few select people.
My guess is that they are still trying to finalize the hardware and wont have enough time to make up some tech demo's for everyone to try or a level of a game to come down the road. Hopefully not having it not be accessible to everyone on the floor wont give too much of an advantage to Sony and MS considering its all but guaranteed they will be playable on the floor. |
Re: Mario 128 likely for Revolution
Hm..... "sharing our vision for Revolution" doesn't sound that good either. This means that they could just say "ok launch next year, with online this time, isn't it great?". :(
We want to see the 'revolutionary' technology!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Re: Mario 128 likely for Revolution
This guy Reggie is real..... He realizes what Nintendo has done wrong and now he is trying to fix it. My favorite part of this interview is that he lays no mention to Microsoft being competition...
And to all the Microsoft fans..... we ALL know the Xbox2 will be a mechanical work of art, but I personally found it funny. But it's kind of obvious with all the hype that Nintendo would be looking to contend with Sony first and Microsoft second. |
Re: Mario 128 likely for Revolution
Revolution won't be accessible on the floor? Boo.
It's good to hear Reggie's still kicking. Ass, that is. I wonder if this year's schpiel is going to be as great as last year's. |
