I didn't really understand that it was supposed to be for an actual picture of us. I just thought it was a spot to stick a secondary avatar. I just put another copy of my avatar in there. Never cared for the feature much. *kicks at the dirt*

Yup, that feature exists. I'm on another forum that is powered by vBulletin and you can have your avatar and profile picture.
