Dude you didn't go to church because of the people did you??I guessing the answer to this is no, and if it is don't let people or Hypocrites for that matter, make your belief sway because of their opinion of what you should or shouldn't do. Your religion is between God and you, not you and the people.....if anything you should have less respect for the people not the religion.
Don't ever let hypocrites in the church, or other people for that matter effect you belief in your religion in a negative way...that it would turn you from God.
However there is a verse in the bible where it says that you should not marry anyone who is not christian because it could pull you down as christian since she doesn't have the same belief as you. For example: your girlfriend might say let's have sex, woppeeee, you jump in the sack shagg her all night long...errrrrr well maybe not, maybe about 15 mins for you.
but anyways the point is she encouraged you to sin, now if you had a christian girlfriend( a real one ) she wouldn't ( shouldn't ) do that.
Now all I did was tell you what I knew and thought, I am in no way saying that you should dump your girlfriend, or shouldn't, that choice is soley up to you. If you can convert her to christianity then that's good for you and her. But whatever you do don't let what people say or do destroy your faith. Ok Grimreaper.
BTW I'm not christian I just know a lot about the matter cause two of my friends are.
