Hypocrites, all of them!

I swear, I now respect my religion less. I now realise there are a lot of hypocrites out there.

They were saying, just because that my girlfreind was not a christian, I should dump her and forget about her! shows a lot for the religion doesn't it.

Sorry, I just had to vent my anger.

What do you guys think about this?

Angrist 03-08-2002 05:55 AM

Euhm... I don't even WANT a girl with another religion. I mean, my religion differs so much from the others... While I'm hoping for eternal life on a paradise earth (Like Adam and Eva), other religions believe that they're going to heaven.

One of us would have to be wrong. So we wouldn't be able to live togother forever!

So it's best to 'pick' a girl with your own religion.

And about your priest or something, I don't think that's the right way to say it. I mean, now they got you mad, perhaps you will stray from your faith just because of what they said!

I've never went out with a girl the same religion as me. Nor the same nationality for that matter.

I see no problem to date someone of a different religion. The only problem that may arise is if you decide to have kids (guessing now that's a no;)). My parents weren't of the same religion and there were no problems or anything.

Dude you didn't go to church because of the people did you??I guessing the answer to this is no, and if it is don't let people or Hypocrites for that matter, make your belief sway because of their opinion of what you should or shouldn't do. Your religion is between God and you, not you and the people.....if anything you should have less respect for the people not the religion.

Don't ever let hypocrites in the church, or other people for that matter effect you belief in your religion in a negative way...that it would turn you from God. :D

However there is a verse in the bible where it says that you should not marry anyone who is not christian because it could pull you down as christian since she doesn't have the same belief as you. For example: your girlfriend might say let's have sex, woppeeee, you jump in the sack shagg her all night long...errrrrr well maybe not, maybe about 15 mins for you. :p;) but anyways the point is she encouraged you to sin, now if you had a christian girlfriend( a real one ) she wouldn't ( shouldn't ) do that. :D

Now all I did was tell you what I knew and thought, I am in no way saying that you should dump your girlfriend, or shouldn't, that choice is soley up to you. If you can convert her to christianity then that's good for you and her. But whatever you do don't let what people say or do destroy your faith. Ok Grimreaper.

BTW I'm not christian I just know a lot about the matter cause two of my friends are. :D

geez I'm that post was good...I'm the man..woot woot :burger:

Ehh.. I'm not religious, and I've dated girls that are, and it's no biggie.

BigJustinW 03-08-2002 02:54 PM

One of the first conversations I would have with any girl I'm interested in is about God... she doesn't have to share my views 100%, but if she goes aganst my views (like opposing my faith alltogether) I would never let her become more than just a friend.

Why?

Because relationships in which you can't connect mentally never work out.... ever. So I don't even bother.

Its no big deal what religion your gf is if you ask me, i mean, i go to church...although i hate it, but my gf doesnt go at all, does that mean that she is a bad person and i shoudl dump her? NO! course not, I dont think that God, if there is one, really would care what religion you beleived in on earth.

what a person choses as thier religion IS part of their personality... if you didn't know

Drunk Hobbit 03-08-2002 04:43 PM

Most people don't choose a religion but rather are assigned to one when growing up. If they see it unfit then they have the option to convert to another.
