Query on the PlayStation version Mortal Kombat 3

Even though I've already got it for SNES, I've been contemplating getting the PSX version so I can play it on my PS2. For those of you who are familiar with this version, how close is it to the arcade version?

Trilogy? I have the greatest hits version. I can't tell you how it compares to the arcade version though because I suck(ed) at both. I can't get past the first column on either so there you go >_>

I didn't ask about Mortal Kombat Trilogy. I asked about Mortal Kombat 3. That's "3" as in "part 3".

EDIT: You know what? Never mind. I found out that arcade perfect versions of MK 2 and 3 will be some of the games found on Midway's Arcade Treasures 2 which comes out next week.
