Summer's done
This past summer has been the best time of my life. It has topped all previous summers before it. This is mainly because of all of the freedom I now posess. If I felt like seeing a movie, I got some friends together and we went. Felt like doing anything, Bam!, I was gone. It was a glorious time.
I had time for a little romance, some adventure, some partying and I made some new friends. And I was always free to do something. It was the most care free time of my life.
Of course, this was only possible due to the fact that I remained unemployed (by choice). So this is my last summer like this. All future summers until I retire I'll be a working man. So I'm really happy I enjoyed this summer to the fullest.
A lot of people complained that their summers were uneventful. When I had nothing to do, I made stuff happen. I have enough friends that I'm never at a lack of someone to do something with. Maybe I'm lucky.
Specific things I'll cherish about the summer:
Cruising with Phil and our trip to Langley
Getting Russ out of the house
Going to movies
Slurpees and Best of SNLs with Cam
Lake Errock
Going on the set of Dead Like Me
Trip to Vancouver
Being lazy with Sean (Bubba Ho-Tep, Fight Night, other movies, pudding thieves! and various other memories)
Field Days
The Zany Mall Adventure
Sushi Date
Meteor Shower
The Jazz Fest
Block Party
Hanging out
PAX
I'm sure I'm leaving out a lot, but this is all I can remember for now. It's sad that summer had to end. But I'm ready for school. I'm content with the fact that I had an awesome time.
And I'm almost fully over my sickness now. So I'm happy about that.

Re: Summer's done
It's good that you had fun. My summer can be summed up like this:
30+ hours of work per week, usually around 40.
A trip to Quebec to see family
a few movies

Re: Summer's done
But every time I said you didnt have a job, you said you did, and it was babysitting that kid. If you get paid, its a job. IMO anyways.
Lazy days are where its at. yo. Dawg. Money. Homes.
WIERD STORY:
Yesterday i was walking home, and this girl i know ( slightly) "bodychecked" me, and then immediately after, linked arms with me. Then we continued to walk home with arms linked. We live fairly close to eachother. I was confused for most of the time as to why I did not have mobility in my arm. Then i noticed she was hloding onto it with her arm.
Sadly, i must say i spent a chunk of the time trying to remember her name. I do remember it now, but i didnt before, because i didnt talk to her for months and months, and all of a sudden shes clinging to me.
And Deejz knows her, shes grade 10. Not really my bag. Plus she has a BF, also not my bag.

Re: Summer's done
I enjoyed my summer too. I graduated from high school so I really was kind of free to relax and not worry about those college pressures anymore, and like you, I chose not work anywhere 'official'. Just a babysitting job once a week. I wish I had swam more, but I don't like to going to the pool and swimming in front/with other people I know. And I went to Maui. Slept in to make up for all the lost sleep during the school year. And spent some good time at GT and playing games.

Re: Summer's done
My summer has been good to me. I recently finished college at the Chubb Institute, viewed a TON of movies, got to talk to some friends from HS, found Initial D: 3rd Stage (finally, even!), got my gamecube back to my room from my little brother, almost finished NFS:U (memory card problems, dont ask), I'm going to get an iBook G4 for my graduation, birthday, and Christmas present, ( a ton of sacrifices, i know, but its worth it), and maybe I'll be able to go to California for a 2 weeks (hopefully, need to see old friends again).

Re: Summer's done
I, along with my other constituents here, agree that this was a tremendous summer. I was busy for most of it, and I think this was what made it seem more enjoyable and lengthy. First I worked the month of June, then did Spinto Band related activites for July to mid-August, then not all that much until college time, but it was definitely a productive and fun summer for me, as I think summer should be for an 18/19 year old boy.
