After reading the Steam forums and reading where CSNation asked the Mr Bond of hl2fallout's forums, they are sure its a hoax now after seeing the IP's not matching and seems that someone compromised Gabe's account.

heh, I saw an update over at CSNation.com which posted what Gabe's password was (the imposter guessed and got it right)

Update: Gabe's password was "gaben", which the imposter guessed to login and make the Half-Life 2 "Going Gold" post.

I can't help but laugh because Gabe chose such an easy password to guess. Honestly, after a few tries, that wouldn't be hard to think of. What's next? The password to get onto his computer is HL2?
