Spider Man 2 (Spoiler Thread)
Here's for all of you who want to talk about Spider Man 2 but can't because of a spoiler restriction.
Did anyone else spot Phil Lamar? Dyne and I saw him. In the scene where Spider-Man is trying to stop the train, Phil is the person on the far right at the front of the train.

Re: Spider Man 2 (Spoiler Thread)
I didnt notice. heh.
But the entire train scene was my favorite part of the movie (and that's saying something...because the whole movie was awesome). I just thought it was extremely cool the way he was "surfing" in between cars, and especially that part when he went through one side of the bridge and out of the other. This was one of the most exciting movies I've seen in a while...it was great.
I was slightly dissapointed when I watched Harry discover his dad's old Green Goblin stuff...While this was a good addition to the movie, it also sets you up to expect the green goblin to be the major villian in the third movie. And I dont want to see him again. I want a new villian. I personally would most like to see Venom and/or Carnage.
Anyone else feel really bad for JJJ's son, though? heh

poor guy.... it's all MJ's fault. she is a stupid chick who doesn't know what she wants, she just leads people on all over the place. who runs away in the middle of the wedding.

Re: Spider Man 2 (Spoiler Thread)
I don't remember a spoiler thread, I know we had a none spoiler thread.
On the subject of MJ, no offense to her, I mean sure in the end everyone knew she would get with Peter, but come on before she knew he was Spiderman. She dated Flash, dated Harry, liked Spiderman and was engaged to John Jameson and this was in two years.
And she left them all for Peter, even if the spiderman one is a bit iffy. (Remember, she got over her crush on Spiderman because she knew Peter was more important, doesn't count if they turn out to be one and the same.)
As far as fight sequence, I'm in the small minority here, but I thought that the first fight at the bank/roof was the best figt sequence in the movie, I don't know why exactly. The train one wasn't bad itself, but not as good in my opinion and I think the final fight was eh.
There sure were a lot of cameos, the easy to spot ones like Uncle Ben and Norman Osborn, to the somewhat decent ones if you knew the people like Bruce Campbell and Hal Sparks to the if you blink you will miss it like Stan Lee and Ashy Larry from the Chappelle show.

Re: Spider Man 2 (Spoiler Thread)
Although I like Harry's discovery of the Green Goblin, I was kind of hoping when I heard the Green Goblin laughing, that it was really him, and that Norman had somehow survived his final battle with Spider-Man.

Oh yeah. Glider shoved through the stomach. Sold lifeless corpse layed down on the bed. Buried six feet under ground.
I'm sure he walked away just happy and healthy

Re: Spider Man 2 (Spoiler Thread)
I liked this one A LOT (AAA LOOOOTTTTT) more than the first. One question I have for the spiderman buffs is who becomes Venom in the cartoon? I think Carnage was a murderer, but how did Vernom come to be?

Did we forget some one? You missed Professor Xavier.
He was in there in the formal ball where John annouced his marriage with MJ.

In the cartoon, JJJ's son was coming back from the moon, and his spacecraft crashed on Washington bridge. (I think). Anyway, this symbiotic being came in with him on the ship, it was this black gooey stuff, that we know and love as "venom". SpiderMan came to the rescue, and when he got there, Venom bonded with him. At first Peter liked having the symbiot...he thought it was rather cool. But after a while it began to make him do things he didnt want to do, so he got rid of it, using sound, I think.
Anyway, the symbiot found a new host...Eddie Brock, the news reporter, who blamed Spiderman for loosing his job. Venom and Eddie both had a vendetta against spiderman, so they went after him. Some other stuff happened, but I think Venom/Brock eventually turned out to be one of those bad-good guys, and he even helps spiderman in the Maximum Carnage series.
Carnage on the other hand is Venom's son...I think. Or maybe brother. And the host he chooses is the insane mad man: Cassidy. Cassidy is NOT a good guy, and teams up with Shriek and Dopple-Spidey in the Maximum Carnage series.
Yeah...I like comic books.

That we did, of course the comic book had some weird explanation as to why, but eh.

Well Venom/Carnage are father/son if you can use those terms. Carnage is a piece of Venom's symbiote broken off or something like that. It choose Cassidey (who in the cartoon shared a ceil next to Eddie Brock) to become Carnage.
