Default Backmasking songs

How many do this from time to time. You play the song in reverse and listen for subliminal messages, its quite fun but creepy at times.

A classic example would be Stairway to Heaven by Zeppelin.

http://backmaskonline.com/classicrock.html-- here are some classic songs reversesd.

If you want to backmask your own songs on the computer, convert the mp3 or whatever format you use into WAV. Open up soundrecorder and open the WAV in soundrecorder. On the effects menu, click reverse and play

I also like slowing songs down and speeding them up for comical effects.

I don't backmask but, like GM, I speed up and slow down songs but not for comical purposes. Like Ayo For Yayo by Andre Nickatina sounds much better (IMO) if you speed it up a bit.

There are a few songs by the Beatles in which you play the records backwards, you hear messages. And these messages back up the Paul is Dead thing. I still have yet to figure out what they say at the end of A Day in the Life, because my dad's needle on his record player is broken.

I heard that if you listen to Pink Floyd's "Dark side of the moon" or "Animals" while watching the Wizard Oz, the songs direct Dorothy to do things and ties in with the movie some how.

*shrugs*

Anyone tried it?

How ironic!!! I thought of the same thing, and I made another topic about it, just now....

I think most of them are just coincidences. Just think how many ways you can say something backwards to make it sound like something else.

Plus most of the songs in question were from the pre-70's era. Most of the bands were too stoned to even think about backwards messages.

And think semi-logically. How could you get a rhyming song forewards AND backwards that fits the beats and rhymes all the time.

Well, those were the days you could actually play a record backwards quite easily, you don't have any idea how to play a CD backwards, do you? Maybe they're still doing it?

The only knock you could put on it is that all the records people talk about are rock records. Which some ('overzealous' Christians) continue to believe is 'of the devil'.

But seriously, when will this die?
