Your Top 10 games at E3 2004
It's that time again. With E3 pretty much wrapped up with, what were your favorite games that were on the show floor this year. Here were mine.
#10: The Shield (PS2/Xbox)
Yeah, I know games based on television series usually end up sucking harder than a hooker on a Saturday night. But I'm a real big fan of the show and the game looks like it has "potential". Hopefully they won't screw it up.
#9: Final Fantasy XII (PS2)
I'm just a huge Final Fantasy fanboy at heart, so I'm eager for the next installment.
#8: Metal Gear: Acid (PSP)
The only PSP or Nintendo DS title on my list. If I end up buying a PSP, it will be because of this game. I heard the game will take place after Metal Gear Solid 2 and will wrap up all the loose ends left at the end of the game.
#7: Resident Evil 4 (GCN)
#6: Conker: Live and Reloaded (Xbox)
One of the best looking Xbox titles that I've seen. I'll be picking this baby up along with Halo 2 to play on Xbox Live.
#5: Metroid Prime 2 (GCN)
The story between the Light World and the Dark World sounds really interesting. Plus there's four-player multiplayer!
#4: Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2)
According to Rockstar, San Andreas will feature three huge towns (based on San Diego, LA, and Las Vegas) and miles of road between all of them. I'm definitely picking this up on October 22nd.
#3: Halo 2 (Xbox)
This would be higher on my list, but aside from multiplayer stuff I didn't see too much of this from E3. I would have liked to see more single player stuff (like the African town level from last year's E3.)
#2: The Legend of Zelda (GCN)
Uhmmm yeah, this surprised the living hell out of me. And it's all done in real time too.
#1: Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Zelda would have been #1 on my list, but I downloaded the Snake Eater trailer from last night and was blown away. I can't wait to play this game this fall and I hope it helps resolve some things that happened at the end of MGS2.
Edit: My free host is being a real bitch and the pictures won't show up. I'll try and get them up later.

Re: Your Top 10 games at E3 2004
1) Final Fantasy XII - Featuring a 2 hour long demo and an amazing new trailer, FFXII had one of the best presentations of any game at E3, and has already won Best of Show from a number of different websites. I'm really excited to see the FF series go in a new direction. Famous producer of Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy Tactics, and the Ogre Battle series will be leading this game's development, looks to be shaping up very nicely.
2) Zelda - Don't think I need to explain anything.
3) Fable - Where to begin? Well this is the massive RPG project being worked on by the development company Big Blue Box for a large number of years now. Acclaimed to be "the best RPG ever made". Complete and ultimate freedom to do whatever you want and be whoever you want.
4) Metal Gear Solid 3 - Looks awesome. Prequel to MGS1 for PSone, story of Big Boss during the Cold War. Takes place in the jungle with extremely creative tactical stealth techniques. Can't wait.
5) Halo 2 - This needs no explanation.
6) Silent Hill 4 - Absolutely horrorfying. Unbelievable style. Can't wait to be scared sh*tless.
7) Star Ocean 3 - Whee.
8) Suikoden IV - Suhweet.
9) Metroid Prime 2 - Yep.
10) Resident Evil 4 - Can you tell I'm getting lazy?

anywho I forgot Suikoden IV.... if I had to be a fanboy Bluefire, I'd have to say i'm a Suikoden fanboy.
I've beaten all 3 Suikodens in less then 2 days. Because... the game is so addicting!

Re: Your Top 10 games at E3 2004
Spike, mah man!
10) Doom3 - Hooo-boy... the big bad FPS from ages ago is back and looking better than ever. If I got an XBox, I'd definately pick this one up (if not just to rent).
9) Darkstalkers - PSP brought back high-quality 2D fighters! And one of my favorites too... oooh hell yes.
8) Metroid Prime 2 - What a nifty game... I haven't played the first Metroid, so it'd probably be even more fun for me. If I were to get a 'Cube, I'd definately have to pick this one up.
7) Final Fantasy XII - The Final Fantasy series has produced consistantly high-quality games. Because none of the games are actually related (which is a pretty good thing, because I wouldn't be able to stand characters that survived 12 games), the stories are original and therefore very worthwile.
6) Resident Evil 4 - While #5 made me consider getting a 'Cube, this game removed any second-thoughts/
5) Legend of Zelda - I'm going to be buying a cube this week because of this game. That should be reason enough.
4) Fable - This game and #3 inspired me to finally get a Box. I've been tracking Fable ever since I've seen a trailer of it... it's an XBox RPG that will actually be good (and, no... KOTOR was not good enough).
3) Halo 2 - If Halo is the God of multiplayer (which it is), then there truly must be a force greater than God... and its name is Halo 2.
2) Metal Gear Solid 3 - I already own a PS2, and this looks like the best PS2 title coming from E3 (aside SIV). MGS and MSG2 were freakin' amazing.
1) Suikoden IV - Suikoden II got me hooked into the series, and Suikoden III is the reason why I bought a PS2.

Guess it was a list, just a disorganized one, because I didn't rate them or give a small description as to why i chose them :P
And yes, Suiko II was a masterpiece in storytelling. I enjoyed that game so much. However, Suiko III disappointed me..
