Re: the PSP
It sounds awesome, now if only they'd reveal the price.....
They didn't reveal the price, right?
If the console is sorta pricey, I think it'd be neat if they pulled a Sega Nomad and you could hook the system directly to a TV and play it like that... Because then some would see it as a new home console as well

Re: the PSP
Now thats now a 'sleek' portable looks.
Nintendo will never be able to come up with a design as slick as that for the next gameboy.
Next game boy will prolly be a box again. but the screen will pop up out of it like a pop up phone instead of a flip one. heh.

Re: the PSP
Doesn't really look all that "sleek" to me. In fact, it looks more standard and functional than anything else, which is more important than being sleek...

Re: the PSP
Well, explain to me why that is sleek? It has the buttons on the right, the d-pad on the left, and it is black, just like the PS2. I just don't see anything surprising here, and I as I said, that's good. It's a nice, polished look, but I don't see how it's anymore sleek than the GBA.

Re: the PSP
well... game boy looks the same as it did when it first game out. a box.
This one is rounded, shinny, i think metal on the back, no? a clearish material on the front to give it the glossy look. buttons are a clearish plastic i believe and kinda rounded to conform to it giving it a more smooth look.
I dont see how you think that doesnt look sexy. IMO gameboy looks like a cheap plastic box.
but im not sayin your wrong. everyone has thier own feelings. just sounds like your saying it looks normal cuz the buttons are in normal places.
[edit] plus the wide screen is pretty slick lookin on it too.

Re: the PSP
from IGN:
Quote:
First, some PSP specs. The system is 170mm long, 74 mm wide, and features a 16:9 aspect ratio widescreen 4.3" display. The screen itself is a high-quality TFT running at full color (16.77 million colors) at a 480x272 resolution. The PSP packs 32 MB of main memory as well as 4 MB of DRAM, along with a wireless port, USB, and a rechargable Lithium Ion battery good for 10 hours of play time.
PSP games and media will use the Universal Media Disc format, a compact, high-capacity optical disc capable of holding 1.8 GB of data.
The PSP is set to debut in North America in spring 2005.
The biggest news of all, though, are the titles shown in the conference. None of these are absolutely official, but here's what we heard about or saw:
Ape Escape
Dynasty Warriors
F1 Racing
Medieval
Metal Gear Solid
NBA Street
Need for Speed Underground
NFL Street
Tiger Woods
Tony Hawk Pro Skater
Twisted Metal
Wipeout
In addition, by way of demonstrating the PSP's movie playback capabilities, a clip of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children was shown playing on the system. This suggests that the Final Fantasy film sequel may be released on the PSP's UMD format. Look for more details very soon as more official specs, titles, and media roll in.

Re: the PSP
It looks declicious....
in agreement with what you guys are saying, the Gameboy has always been a box. The Advanced made a flip up screen, making it somewhat more Advanced... no pun intended.
I think the PSP looks awesome, and with a screen that displays 16 million colors......... ahh heaven..

What are you implying? It's too big or something?
Well if you were a little keener on your measuring skills, you'd see that 170mm long is equivalent to about 5 inches.
Compact Disc
PSP
Those two are almost the exact same length.

If YOU were a little keener on the metric system, it would be too small. According to google:
170 millimeters = 6.69291339 inches
