Re: Airplanes
Don't really like planes too much. I'm always very uncomfortable while in them. I wouldn't say I have tremoundous fear of flying, but I not that big of a fan of it either.

Re: Airplanes
Airplaines? Dunno. They're cool and they get me places fast but I don't think I'd want to buy one and go all mechanic on it.
I wouldn't mind being a pilot though.

Re: Airplanes
I'm okay with airplanes as long as I'm not having to sit in their cramped seats for a long time.
I hate airports however.

I take that as a terroristic threat and I will now copy your message and give it to the local authorities. You will be prosecuted to the fullest extent for your anti-American ways.

Re: Airplanes
Ah, yea I like airplanes. Im not a huge fanatic or anything. I went to an air show a few years back, which had the Navy Blue Angels. Seeing them fly in their formation, doing all their tricks and stunts is pretty amazing. Seeing them fly a few hundred feet overhead at speeds of over 400mph is also pretty amazing.

Re: Airplanes
Ive never even been on a plane, or to an airport ever... Just the fact that a car is way safer. Think about it, if you are driveing in a car, and you run out of gas, what do you do? You pull to the side of the road.
If you are in a plane and you run out of gas, what do you do? You panic and scream and yell while you plummit to the ground at speeds that are unimaginable to pull out of, though giving yourself the hope that you will survive somehow. But no you will crash and die, the the story will be on CNN saying about this freak plane accident and how it only happens one oout of every 2,000 plane flights. But how many planes fly in a week? way more than 2,000.
Thats what i think of everytime i think of the fact that im going to England in the summer...

Re: Airplanes
Silly Typhoid.
You have a MUCH higher chance of dying in a car accident than in a plane accident. MUCH MUCH HIGHER CHANCE.
With a car you can't control how the millions of other people drive on the road. There isn't that much traffic in the air.
SILLY!

According to this website of the National Safety council, the statistics for the year 2001 in the United States show:
One out of every 247 people will die in a car accident in their lifetime. This does not include pick-up trucks, vans, or other forms of ground transport besides cars.
One out of every 4,023 people will die in an air transport accident in their lifetime. This includes all forms of air transport including spacecraft.
In 2001, 14,946 people died in car accidents alone. Keep in mind this does not include pick-up trucks and vans as well as tractor trailers, etc.
On the other hand, only 918 people died in Air and Space Tansport accidents in 2001 in the United States.

Re: Airplanes
I like planes. It's cool flying.
I second Jeepnut's comment regarding comfort though. Last June, I flew from California to New Zealand and I was very uncomforatble and tired by the end of trip. It was 12 hours or something. In the future though, planes will be much more comfortable and larger too maybe.
