Woah! My usergroup is still here!
Bond said it wasnt working and I never noticed it was still active.
whoopee!
Anyway, yes, there is an online version.
I dont think the one Jonbo showed you is free, though. You pay to play it online, with other people. There are many pros, however. After you collect a complete online "cyber" set, you can trade them in for the actuall real cards. Another thing that is good about it is that you can see the artwork.
If you arent even sure if you like the game, I encourage you to go to this website:
Dragon Studios
The website is kind of screwy...sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. You can follow the instructions there to download a free application which contains all the cards. You can read the text on the cards, but there is no artwork, and you cant trade them in. I find it a little difficult to construct a deck on the computer, not being able to see and shuffle through my cards, but it is a nice substitute for testing a deck, or learning to play.
And happydude, I cant give you a "short" explanation.
If you guys download it, contact me on MSN or AIM and we'll play a few games.
[edit] I think the site is down right now. *curses*
You can do a google search on "Apprentice" to try and find the program.
