Mario Party 5
Has anyone played MarioParty5 yet? My roommate and I are considering getting it, but are wondering how it compares to 4.
(basically yeah, all we do is have Mario Party parties... they get intense!!)

Mario Party = Mario Party 2 = Mario Party 3 = Mario Party 4 = Mario Party 5
Nintendo is awesome when it comes to milking games.

If only 'awesome' could truly express just how well nintendo milks games.
I don't think there's a word in any language that can truly portray it.

They do well to mask it up. Every time I pay, it feels like they've added so much that I forgot what the last one was like. =\
*shrug* I only bought the first one.. and that was pretty cool. Except for the stick-spinning games. Ouch. Otherwise, you only need to buy one Mario Party.. you can rent the rest. Just make sure you have at least one.

God I was the best ever at those stick spinning games...I was unstoppable. Sure, I got a nice blister in the middle of my palm a time or 2, but I p0wned.
Im also the best at the button tapping ones, Id take anyone on with compelete confidence.

Re: Mario Party 5
Nintendo offered a special glove free to people who purchased Mario Party because of the joystick involved mini games. They admitted that it caused blisters so all you had to do was send in your receipt or something.

Re: Mario Party 5
This game would be great if they just dumped that board. Skill has nothing to do with winning in Mario Party. I would like them to make a game that includes all of the mini games from MP1-5 without any game board like Pokemon Stadium.

Re: Mario Party 5
Wow, you guys are all so wrong about this one.
Particularly that comment about Mario Party 1=2=3 and so on. Mario Party 5 is the best installment of the series. It is what all of the other Mario Party titles should have been. I've played every mini-game on this one, so trust me. It's definately the party game to buy.
At least rent it if you don't believe me.

It's a good thing Nintendo owns Hudson nowadays....
Anyhow, I haven't really played Mario Party 5 yet, but I tried the minigames included on the Double Dash!! demo disc, and I would buy the game based on the Penguin mini-game alone, and no it has nothing to do with this whole Penguin thing. It's such a simple mini-game but so fun.
The others were pretty cool as well.

Penguin Push? Yeah, that's one of my favorites too. The game is just great.

Re: Mario Party 5
I've played Mario Party 5 and I must say, if you have people who will play it on a regular basis with you, it's totally worth the purchase. It's much improved over Mario Party 4 and the mini-games are a lot better now. I had four people over when I rented it last weekend and it was a blast. A lot of close calls and good competition.
