Default Enter the Matrix

I can't see any posts for this game so I've started a new one. I need help on the Waterworks level. It should be straight forward as I've been given the order of what to do from the helpline in the back of the manual. In this level it's your mission to find the flashlight (which I do) then proceed in the dark area of the sewers. My problem starts when I go to the dark part, I cannot proceed. As I have been given the list of what order to do things in and this doesn't work, has anyone passed this point as I think my copy must be faulty? Please forgive me if I've done this wrong as I haven't had much luck so far?

Enter the Matrix?

The only advice I can offer you is to flush your copy down the toilet ASAP.

Default money back

I'll see if they will give my money back because if I were to swop it might have similar problems. My drainage system is blocked at the moment, I doubt a game box flushed will help. Thanks for the advice anyway.

I know my local video game hub won't ever do money-back returns (bastards)- good luck with everything!

The news stories about the bugs were on a good deal of gaming sites and mags when the game came out. EGM called it one of the buggiest games of all time (I think).

So good luck trying to give the excuse the game is buggy.

blah, all of you suck i actually liked the game, and down't worry, as soon as you get out of the waterworks level, its much more fun...u ppl and hating a good game with an amazing fighting engine just cuz it has a few more bugs than normal. And the only reason it has bugs is because they wanted to release before the release of reloaded in theatres, therefore the game was not finished properly, which isn't the case with the matrix: online.

no, they are hating a bad game.

because even without the bugs. this game woulda been VERY VERY low rated. there are many things beyond the bugs. Which i grant you. its hard to see the other things that are wrong with it because the bugs just cover em up.

for instance.... the bug that you get stuck in a wall... you can see how bad controls are for you cant move. that bug helps people to miss that.

the game is bad bro. im sorry, if you like it, thats fine, nothing wrong with that. but i've yet to ever see one good thing said about the game in any review. And after playing it, i can see why.

(btw, i assume bugs on PC version are easily fixed with updates, but its just not the games only prob)

Enter the Matrix was nothing more than hype- people only bought the game because of the Matrix license (millions of hardcore Matrix fans bought the game because it had the word "Matrix" written on the box).

Shiny Entertainment slapped the Matrix license on a mediocre product, PLAIN AND SIMPLE- this game sold because of its name, not because it was a good game; Enter the Matrix would have sold remarkably no matter how good it actually was.

Enter the Matrix feels so unfinished- from the god-awful textures to the bad camera-system, to the unimpressive level-design; the game lacks quality and polish, and just isn't consistent throughout the game.

The character models look decent, and the bullet-time effects are cool, but the levels and environments look so mediocre, lacking any real attention-to-detail (every level looks rushed, unpolished, and even unfinished).

And most reviewers would agree that the gameplay, while good, is overall hampered by repetitive levels, missions, sequences, and a bad camera- not being able to play though with at least Neo really hurt the game too, and those driving missions were absolutely atrocious.

Enter the Matrix is another "shining" example of a game trying to cover up its mediocrity under a well recognized movie license.

BTW, did you notice I didn't mention the word "buggy" even once?

Check out gamefaqs. I bet I know the place you are stuck on. You have to jump up at a diagonal from a pipe onto another big pipe.

there is a very good reason it looks rushed and not finished. The Wachowski brothers came to Atari and Sunshine (i think thats the company) and told them they wanted to have the game on shelves on the day that reloaded was released, this gave them less than 60% of the normal time it takes for developers to create a game, not to mention one as huge as this, (also this isn't mentioning that it had to be cross platform as well which took even more time). I noticed it was unpolished, but other than the level where the twins are chasing you in the car and one or two of the waterpipe levels, i found the game really fun. ESPECIALLY in the marovingian mansion, that entire set of levels, Even you Null have to agree is fun. And when i played, i can across very few bugs, actually only 2, one occured when i killed a guy and his body floated in the air, and the other occured when an agent got stuck behind some small objects on the floor (allowed me to stick a grenade up his a$$ and claim his gun, which is the most powerful pistol in the game). I hope that the matrix: online isn't as dreary, thats my ONLY critiscism to enter the matrix, all the levels are so dark and noir, thats partly why i enjoyed the marovingian levels so much. And null you have to admit that it had (EASILY) the best martial arts fighting engine to date.

no actually. sorry but i dont agree, i found nothing in the game fun. but more rather just annoying.
Control was horrible, wasnt impressed with the engine much. the engine was better then the game made it look. but still was nothing overly spectacular.

sorry, but IMO, the game sucked more then rosanne on a baked ham.
