Arrow Brief Official PLAYSTATION Magazine Demo Disc Impressions

VIDEO

1. Gran Turismo 4 + new Logitec Wheel + Online play = heaven. It looks like that, anyway.

2. Jak II will kick all kinds of ass. Graphics are stunning, Daxter is hilarious.

3. XIII looks very intriguing. The unique use of cell shading is definately something to look into. Keep an eye out for this game.

PLAYABLE

3. AMAZING Ratchet and Clank 2 demo. If you're interested in this game, buy the magazine (SSX3 on cover). Hoverbike racing, a spherical world, battle arena, small level...NO TIME LIMIT. All the things that made R&C great are back, but used in so many (more) awesome ways. This is a must buy, no question.

4. SSX3 is really cool. You start out by boarding around freely on a huge mountain. You can take different paths, like on a real ski/snowboard mountain. You can just cruise down the mountain, or you can enter an event like the big air event like I did...the way you jump off some ramps gives you this insane sense of flying HIGH above the earth. It's done really well...great graphics, too.

I'll try out a couple more games like ESPN Hockey later...

Isn't this the issue that Dylflon doesn't get?

He's going to be jealous when he hears this.
