Default Battle.net

Do you often get disconnected from battle.net when playing WarCraft 3? I do, almost always, I hardly play a game for a minute before I'm disconnected. Is this just me or does it happen to anyone else? Could the Gateway I play on have any effect on this issue? My internet is networked too, could that be a problem? Help!

nope dont get disconnected often. its happend tho. just not often.

but my internet is networked......

not sure what would be causing yours to do that. bad network cable? do you have an extention on any part of your cable that could be currupting the signal?

search for spyware? (possible) not really sure.

OR. what server you go on battle.net ? it could be the server.

I go on the Lordareon (U.S. West).

I think it's my stupid router, it has all these security features that mess everything up, online games, AIM, MSN, etc.

Check Firewall settings, also try doing a tracert to battle.net a few times, see how reliable ur route goes. Then you can pick up exactly where ur becoming unstable

EDIT - U have a Mac. I'm not sure what troubleshooting tools u can use.

I never get problems with Battle.net (or rarely). Actually I beat a lvl 12 guy the other night who had real nice stats 43 wins and 11 losses (or something).

I have a Linksys router.

And bobcat, thanks for the advice, I'm actually playing this on a PC (the family one) so I'll check out that firewall tip of yours.

I solved the problem (as well as my MSN problem), it was the router's firmware, I updated it and now everything works great.
