ALIEN BREED coming to PS2 ...........................Not selling my PS2 any more!

EXCLUSIVE: ALIEN BREED 2K4 REVEALED!
World's first images of the stunning PS2 update of Worms-creator Team 17's classic sci-fi title
15:48 Honour! From deep within the frigid depths of West Yorkshire come the shimmering might of the first ever shots of Alien Breed 2k4 on PS2. First appearing on Amiga in 1991 during the glory years of 16-bit gaming, top-down, arcade-action Alien Breed was an instant smash hit, amassing a zealous fan base and spawning several sequels.
But after Alien Breed 3D 2, in 1996, all went suspiciously quiet while Team 17 infested the world with Worms. But having Worms for eight years solid is enough to make anyone feel slightly uncomfortable, so Team 17 has chosen to broaden its horizons with a brand new Alien Breed title for PS2.
Currently carrying the working title of Alien Breed 2k4, (guess when it's coming out! Go on!) the title is already looking sumptuous, with excellent detail and lighting effects present in the first shots.
Team 17's Martyn Brown tells us: "The game itself is still pretty much in pre-production as we're still dealing with prospective publishers, but the game is a console action game with a light RPG/Stealth element, but certainly carries the feel, tension and atmosphere of our much revered original game which was released ten years back on the Amiga."
Awesome. And fans of the original will be thrilled to learn some of that team has stuck around to bring you 2k4. With the original designer and lead artist driving the
visuals, it's staying very true to the whole Alien Breed universe," says Brown. "We've got some terrific technology lined up and simultaneous multiplayer, just like the original." Full power!
It's clear this is a project Team 17 has been itching to do for a number of years and is one we'll be keeping a very close eye on over the coming weeks and months. Feast your teary eyes on the first ever screens in the meantime.

Ok Most of you may never of seen any of the ALIEN BREED games before. So I'm telling you they were very very good I just hope the new game is as good. Damn I might get my Amiga out and give it ago.

Looks interesting. Hopefully it goes multi console eventually when it is released. Just from these 2 screens, it looks like a good game.

Is that game Resident Evil-ish?

*squints* Those are PS2 graphics? Wow, this is the first time I've seen them used correctly! The lighting and scenery are awesome! Can't tell if they're better than the new Resident Evil though, haven't actually seen much of those.
I'll definately have to at least rent this one!
Now we just have to dream on as to what another sequal would be like. *thinks* Alien Breed Online! Yep, like up there, but grossly outmatched. People would create teams of about ten, and then would compete against other teams for high standings. Maybe not directly against... but alien kills, losses, accuracy. It'd be like Ender's Game!
Nonetheless, this game looks great.

I remember playing Alien Breed on my Amiga back in the day, so this is really cool, now if someone would update my favorite Amiga game, Chaos Engine...
