Riddle v. 2....8!
You sprint down a strange, rainy path that you have never before been down. The reason why you persist down the path is because you fear you are being followed (just so you don't try answering "turn back and look for people").
Near the end of the path, you get to a fork in which one person (who had obviously travelled to this point from one of the two paths, due to the apparent, fresh footprints) is standing in the middle, whistling in the rain.
So, here is your task... to reach safety, you must get to the land of truth! Yes... the land of truth. One of the paths ahead lead directly to this land of truth, in which all of its villagers never tell a lie. However, the other path leads to the village in which all villagers lie every chance they get. Of course, the land of truth would be the easiest land to gain information for retreat from your follower. As well, once you head down a path, you mustn't turn back... for it is always, always following!
You've got little time, and only one question to ask, for the footsteps behind you grow ever so louder. What question do you ask this strange character, not knowing whether he'll lie or tell the truth? What one (or several, actually) question will get a surefire answer to lead you on your way to the land of Truth?
Answer now, win big, gung ho, tuna fish! MILLION DOLLA!

This one's old and pretty simple.
Point to a random pathway and ask, "If you were the opposite kind of speaker from what you are (i.e., imagine you are a liar if you are a truth teller and a truth teller if you are a liar), would you tell me that this way leads to the land of truth?"

Response:
The man, having a low education, is highly confused by your over-stated answer and runs off, arms flailing. You have failed. Heh...
Y'know, that's the usual response, but by God, it's so complex! I know of a much more simple answer, and since I don't want to wait, here it is (it's SIMILAR to your answer):
If I were to ask you, "Did you come from the land of the truth?", would you say yes?
If yes, follow his tracks.
If no, follow the other path.
Only the liar could say "No" and be telling the truth!
*shrugs* Sorry, I just like thinkgs simplified. 'tis a shame that the first person to answer, however, DID get a "Correct" answer. Despite the fact that you obviously died explaining it to the poor guy, heheh.

GAAH, it seems Yu-Gi-OH is catching up to me. Must'nt rely on the heart of the cards!
Heheh... to think it was on that show. *shrugs* That takes away a lot of the fun. I'll try to remember a new riddle.
