Default Sega Gets CoolCool on Xbox

Quote:
A few months ago, Sega announced that it would be releasing titles originally available for the Sega Dreamcast on the Xbox. Today, the company unveiled the first four titles in this so-called "CoolCool" series of games. Prepare for the megaton!
The first four games will consist of Rent-A-Hero No. 1, Blue Stinger Premium Cut, Dynamite Dekka 2 (released in America as Dynamite Cop) and Illbleed.

Okay, so perhaps this initial lineup isn't all that exciting, but the company will be releasing many more titles outside of these few, so we're certain that at some point something a bit more interesting will see a re-release. Rent-A-Hero, for the record, is actually a cool game with Japanese hillarity for all, but it's a bit hard to follow if you aren't keen on the language.

In brighter news, this announcements brings with it confirmation that Sega won't just be porting over the titles, but will also be improving them. Rent-A-Hero, for instance, will feature a new battle system, new characters and 5.1 support. Illbleed also features new characters, with Blue Stinger (seeing how it's a PREMIUM cut and all) also featuring new characters and new scenarios.

The series kicks off in April with Rent-A-Hero. Stay tuned for more.

Well, not any games that I am interested in for sure. But this is good news of the Sega/Microsoft relationship.

Not exactly the smartest move by Sega. You give Xbox owners JSRF, GunValkyrie, Toe Jam & Earl III, Sega GT 2002, and House of the Dead III. None of them sell well. Now you give them this and expect sales? Uhh... no.

These games weren't that big on DC, don't see why they would sell on Xbox. Xbox owners only hype games that look pretty and are exclusive. Then they only buy what is hyped. These games won't look pretty, and they're all old, hardly exclusive. It's not gonna sell.

Of course, I'll snatch it right up
