Gamecube to out sale PS2 this Xmas
Quote:
Talk on the streets in Japan is of a Nintendo revival this Christmas with retailers predicting higher sales for Nintendo Gamecube then Sony’s PS2. All of this is as of yet unconfirmed but with so many sources shouting this in my ear there has to be some true about them.
Unconfirmed Sales numbers from last week.
1 Nintendo Game Boy advance 150,800
2 S C E PlayStation 2 38,400
3 Nintendo game cube 37,400
4 Microsoft Xbox 1,900

Is this right, well I don't really know to tell the truth but any way found it on the Edge magazine forums?

as soon as Zelda is released, Gamecube sales should destroy PS2 sales for quite a few weeks

I guess the holiday season isn't bad for GameCube at all..
Sales are improving, and like Stu said, when Zelda is released over in Japan...

not if you know how to turn off an option. then no way are VC graphics worse then GTA3.
some parts, not as noticable, some parts Quite a bit of improvment.
you looking for support on that question from fanboys tho by asking a PS2 question in a GC forum?

There are numerous sources that are reporting the same sales numbers. If this is true, this is totally unbelievable. The GBA is absolutely flying off of shelves. Whoever thinks Pokemon doesn't have the same impact as before needs a reality check.
According to Magic Box, the recent releases of Ruby and Sapphire have tripled GBA and GCN sales in Japan. Here is the exerpt:
Quote:
- In addition, due to the release of Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire in Japan, the sales of GameBoy Advance and GameCube has tripled over the week. Over 150,000 units of GBA were sold in the week, and over 37,000 units of GameCube were sold. The sales of PlayStation 2 remains steady, with over 38,000 units sold."

Nintendo would be stupid not be release a real pokemon game for the GC, as in a full 3D RPG, with online multiplayer options!
With Pokemon, Final Fantasy:CC, the other square game, Zelda, and numberous other big hitters, sales will surely pick up for the GC once more

Probably yes. But that won't be until next year... And even later for EU.
