Default Perfect Score

Imagine you are a reviewer for a magazine. What qualities would a game have to have to get the highest score out of you?

Part I:
a. 10 hours long, but replay 8 times
b. 20 hrs, Replay 6 times
c. 40 hrs, Replay 4 times
d. 80 hrs, Replay 2 times
e. 120 hrs, Replay 0 times

Part 2:
a. Very easy diffuculty, Weak Ending
b. Easy diffuculty, Decent Ending
c. Normal diffuculty, Good ending
d. Hard diffuculty, Excelent ending
e. Very hard diffuculty, Life Changing ending

Part 3:
a. Horible Gameplay, Outstanding graphics
b. Weak Gameplay, Above Average graphics
c. Decent Gameplay, Average graphics
d. Good Gameplay, Below Average Graphics
e. Great Gameplay, Horrible Graphics

Part 4menu navigation)
a. Excellent presentation, Horrible Music
b. Above Average presentation, Below Average Music
c. Average Presentation, Average Music
d. Below Average Presentation, Above Average music
e. Horrible Presentation, Excellent Music

Make the one combination of these four parts that you would have the highest score to.

120 hours, Replay 0 times
Very Hard difficulty, Life Changing Ending
Good Gameplay, Below Average Graphics
Average Presentation, Average Music

out of the choices you gave, i have to pick these to give the highest score. no matter how long my games are, i still replay them in a year or so to relive the memories, and i like really long games, i dont buy anything under 30 - 40 hours unless its unbelieveably amazing with tons of depth and replay. I like really hard games, not frustrating, but challenging. and i LOVE a good ending, good game endings are wut make me remember for years about a game (speaking of which, Kingdom Hearts ending was outstanding). I love good graphics, but never at the expense of great gameplay. presentation and music are things that i can usually stand through even if they suck, but i still prefer having them better.

Almost the same but the replay ralue doen't have to be as high (I beat DK64 in 40 hours, but it was still great) and I'd rather have better presentation than graphics.

It goes for Action, Adventure, and RPGs... (games that take at least 10 hours to beat)

Ill base this off a Zelda type game (which, oddly enough is Adventure, Action, RPG)

Though I think Zelda is good enough to not have trade-offs.

Still depends on the game. RPGs are generally long and have a huge story, and you would expect it to be long and have this great story. But then again, PSO is an RPG that's short, doesn't have much of a story, but you can replay the same 4 levels for hundreds of hours.

I would judge both equally.

In rpg's I have to have good music...it gets me into the game....the music plays a crucial part in Video games...it really makes you feel the game. Imagine a death of a main character......and Merry go round music is playing.....I think I would throw away the disc.

And 40*4=160 much longer than a 120 hour game

BTW do have to have these trade offs???
