I played Prime!!!
Well folks, I declare Metroid Prime the finest FPS/FPAdv Whatever the hell you want to call it, it is just a realllly well made game. From the graphics to the control, and to the attention to detail, it's wowing. When i played it, for me it was like playing Super Mario 64 for the first time, and I'm not even a big Metroid fan or FPS fan for that matter, but this game is just amazing, I was sucked in, it was just so engaging. You have to play for yourselves to seee what I mean, in fact I suggest you alll to run not walk to your local EB's and put down 5 dollars to reserve so that you get 20 dollars off your purchase, what are ou doing??!?! Still reading? That's because you're crazy... Go! Go!

I'm guessing some of you here have your doubts about Prime, let alone think it'll turn out very good at all. Well let me tell you all right now that this is not just a "find-your-way-around-kill-baddies-stay-alive-until-the-end-of-the-level" kind of shooter. It's very atmospheric and really makes you think about what you do. Different power ups and abilities must be used to complete tasks you need to finish before you move on. Gameplay-wise, this game is going to easily be Halo 2's biggest rival. Trust me. This isn't a sh*tty Bond game like TWINE or AUF. This is top notch FPS action.
Metroid is also very impressive on the technical side. The graphics are quite awe-inspiring with a HUGE draw distance, beautiful animation, detailed character models, and tons of on-screen action. Best of all it plays at a steady sixty frames per second and never misses a beat. It's easily the best looking GameCube game yet. Certainly Halo 2 looks like it will easily be able to compete, but it's still nothing to put aside. Sound I really can't comment on, because the Cube Club was very busy and loud with the DJ and all the people. From what I could hear, the sound effects and music were quite impressive.
This is not a game that's going to flop. Easily a system seller, especially with all the marketing Nintendo is putting behind it.

Bleh, I'll have to see it to believe it. There is allready more than enough hype for me. From reading previews, I still don't think it's worth my money. I will try it out, but right now I'm not gonna reserve it.

Sounds good guys.
I sure hope this is the game... the one game to rule them all. If it kicks Halo 2 hard it's got a great chance of pushing the cube way ahead of the Xbox!

Yeah... remember ED?
IT WILL BE AWESOME! IT WILL BE AMAZING! IT WILL BE THE MOST AMAZING, DETAILED GAME EVER!
*ED comes and goes*
...
So wanna go play catch?
I mean it didn't suck, but I didn't think it was uber-amazing and the talk surrounding it didn't last too long after it came out

Depends on what you expected from ED. If you expected it to be an action-filled adventure, you would be disapointed.

I didn't expect it to be an action-filled adventure and I didn't want it to be... *shrugs*

Yea, you would have thought ED would have been a little better, considering all that development time...but some areas of it were just goregous, and made me just stop to awe at the game. It was too short though.

I'm not a huge fan of survival horror type games...
I thought of ED like I think of Metroid... Nothing Special.

All I'm saying is that almost every first person shooter that I've played thus far hasn't interested me enough to buy it; however when I played this gem, it was just like what ever was missing in the games I had played previously, right away that was fixed, and I can't quite put my finger on it, but I think it had something to do with the control and the feel of how the character moves. Not to mention is gorgeous and totally atmospheric. Not to mention you feel like you're doing more than runnin and gunnin which for me is a welcomed aspect of gameplay. Perfect 10 I think, if not 10 it's definitely up there...

I like FPSs... list:
1. Perfect Dark
2. Goldeneye
3. Quake 3 Arena
4: Unreal Championship
And I still don't think Prime will be interesting. maybe we have different tastes in games, or different expectations for FPSs... but I don't see it being any more than a rent.

Well if you're one to run and gun Prime may not be your cup of tea
