Weird.

Mario Party is getting old... the best games were the first ones. Except those that ruined your control stick.

Mario Party is only kinda fun when you have a few people over to play, with alcohol, and gambling...

Yea, its really not fun without a couple of friends. I know the past couple of months me and my friends have been having fun playing MP3...sure, the game isnt perfect, but for a party game, you dont need perfection, just plain fun, and it delivers on that, and Im sure I will give this one a rent, maybe even a few rents if we like it enough.

I'll bet the game was also heavily penalized for being basically the same thing as the other three versions of Mario Party. Sure, it's for GameCube now instead of N64, but it still isn't anything new. If Nintendo managed to add a bunch of new stuff to Super Smash Bros., why not Mario Party?

Doesn't surprise me. Why should a game that's been recycled 4 times get anything higher than a 2 is the real question here. I have to admit the mini games are all fun with friends. But I have a feeling that the idea box at Nintendo Inc. is running a little empty latley. Vectorman 3, now there's a good idea

theres like 50 completely new games in it

thats not exactly its prob.

its prob is. and always will be that its a PARTY game. as they say. unless you have a bunch of people ready to play. the game will collect Dust. and thats true, theres really no way around that. its Meant to be a party game.

personally on that note, i believe they should rate it as just that. not lower its score because they're saying its not something it was never inteded to be.

kinda like giving a sports game lower scores cuz theres no puzzle aspects in it.

Anywho. cant say it matters to me. i never played any of the mario party games.... why? cuz i dont have a party to play with.

Yes the reasoning may be that even though its great as they said, its still just the samr concept with more games...

The thing people fail to realize is that ALL the Mario Party games received average scores, even though most people seem to think they're very good games.

These are the 4 games' IGN scores:

Mario Party - 7.9
Mario Party 2 - 7.9
Mario Party 3 - 6.4
Mario Party 4 - 6.9

So Mario Party 4 received a better score than MP3.

Hehe, MP3.

I think I will buy it since I've never played the first three. The whole experience will be new to me.

Well... it would be cool if you could play other people on the internet. Then u could play with a party whenever you want.
