ICO to PSOne?
Quote:
Reports from Germany state that ICO is scheduled for a PSone Christmas release
Reports state that the novel PS2 adventure game, ICO, has been officially confirmed by the German branch of Sony (SCEG) as a forthcoming PSone title.
SCEI originally planned ICO as a PSone release but moved it to the next-gen console after PS2 developement kits were handed out to developers - which gives some credence to the reports.
If the game does indeed make it to PSone, it would be a big boost to its slowing catalogue of games and would surely be the Christmas 'biggie'.

Link.
This isn't off topic is it... Since the PS2 can play PSOne games ?

While PSOne is old and quite a lot of people have PS2s and all, not all people could afford them, and some people still buy PSOne and stuff like for their young kids because it's so cheap now... So it could still have fairly good sales... but I dunno...
I'm not buying it, of course... if I wanted it I'd get it on PS2

that's gotta be BS, why would they make it for PSOne too? if it stays PS2 exclusive then more people would buy a PS2 if they wanted it. it's completely pointless, that would make no sense.

No, it would be like bringing Melee to 64. And since both the GCn and 64 versions were the same, the same games were on each system, IMO.
And I don't like ICO for the graphics... I really like playing it. I find it fun and a bit challenging. I think it would sell great on PSOne.

Hmmm...maybe they will include special graphical enhancements if you use the PS2's thingy where you can "upgrade" the PS1's graphics on some games.(Can't remember what the 2 things are at the moment)

Rumours are that the game is for PSOne. Not the backwards compatibility in the PS2. I mean, why do the graphical upgrade when somebody can just buy the PS2 version?? This game is meant for those who have PSOne only! Like little kids, or poor people.

If you didn't catch the word include, then you got my reply wrong. I meant this similar to what I think Dragon Warrior 3(or whatever # it is) for PS1 was said to have special graphical looks if you used the PS2 backward thingy. I didn't mean just make it for backwards compatibility, but they could include special graphical enhancements specific to the PS2's backward thingy.

Idiot boy. Why would they do that if somebody could just get the game for PS2? Considering we are talking about a remake of it to the PSOne.
And don't roll your eyes at me, boy. "I'll f*ck you and your crew up"

IDIOT!!! Did you read my previous post? If Sony decides to remake ICO on the PSOne, PS2 gamers wouldn't buy it because :
a) it has crappier graphics
b) they allready played the game
c) its probably the same price as a used ICO for PS2

Ok ok shh shh listen...
Nobody who owns a PS2 will buy a PSOne Ico unless maybe they add some neat stuff or something I dunno... Cuz Ico only costs like 30 bucks new... maybe 20-25 bucks used...
BUUUUUT....
There are still a ton of people who don't own a PS2, but own a PSOne! It's not like just cuz PS2 is out in the states and lots of people own it that eeeeveryone owns one.. sooo y'know it could still be a kinda good idea....
So basically, you're both wrong, now shut up J/K
