Default Nfl 2k3

I just picked up this game. Sega seemed to be slow on the shipment of it. Beach Spikers is also late Anyone, played one game, lost. "Forgot" to save. I needed to remember all the controls.

Now my complaints:

The ESPN license thing is great, I guess. I have yet to see any benefit from it. I believe it's all in franchise mode and stuff like that, but for playing a season game, I have yet to find a good thing to say about it.

The ESPN license basically ruined the interface. Now I'm stuck with the stupid ESPN menus which I thought were so ugly when playing Konami's MLS Extra Time. I liked the old interface. And in the play selection screen, they made that ugly too. It has some stupid black and blue alternating lines for the BG, and the little boxes for each play are ugly rectangles. A huge step down from the DC versions. And then the in-game scoreboard was ugly too. Looked way too dull. Hope they fix this crap before next year.

Controls are basically the same. Left and right stiff-arms are put on the white and black buttons, stupid if you ask me. The PS2 controller would work better with this setup. No biggie.

The kick meter is now a god-damn circle! WTF is that ****? The circle meters are by far the worst idea ever brought to gaming. Man, it sucks ass. And the arrow still moves when you try to position your kick. Weird, I've kicked a football before and my goalposts didn't move, why the hell does it move?

Another thing I noticed was that the Vikings are ranked 26th, instead of 1st. So it's not too accurate.

Also, the username thing is annoying. You can create a username for the Sega Sports challenge, but then you can only play a quick game with default settings. So even though when starting a season game you have the option of selecting a username, you really can't. I would like the option of tracking my stats without playing the Sega Sports Challenge thing.

As for Xbox Live, I tried to play online, it told me I had no user found, and asked if I wanted to go to the dashboard and create one. I selected yes, and it loaded up the dashboard in progressive scan (nice). The dashboard just gave me a screen saying it's coming in November. Bummer. But the beta would work with it. Come on, email me already!

On the box it has the little boxes on back, has one for Online Multiplayer, Voice, Content Download, and Friends. Well all games support voice and friends, isn't that kinda stupid? But content downloads? Sweet. Come on Vikings heritage!

Jeez... you got a lot of complaints

I wonder what you would think of NCAA 2k3

Vikings are ranked 26th??!?!?!?!?!

Isn't that a little... extreme?

They are not great, but they don't suck.

....yes they do The lions and the panters got their only wins vs the vikqueens last year.

Anyways I have a few questions about 2k3 if you all would be so kind.

1) I'm sure the game has a play editor. How in depth is it? will it allow you to set up fake hand offs and bootlegs, can you set up flea flickers and half back option passes?

2) Does paul edginger (the bears kicker) have a special anamation for his wind up kick?

3) Does it allow for custom soundtracks?

I don't think 2K3 has a play editor, but the best5 play editor according to reviews is in Madden.

I have Madden, and it is very in depth, but you can't do play action or option plays. Other than that you can pretty much do anything else. I just can't seem to figure out how to load them onto a team so I can use them during franchise mode.

Any help?
