Default Tremors Video Game!

Rock Solid Studios and Conspiracy Entertainment today announced a new game based on the popular movie, Tremors.

Coming to PC, PS2, Xbox and GameCube, this new third-person action game promises some great Kevin Bacon-related madness.

Rock Solid Studios also notes that it is looking to hire a few developers with PS2 and GameCube experience. Stay tuned for more on Tremors soon!

I don't see anyway they can make a good game out of the movie. I mean what would you do in the game? Spend all the time running evading the worms that come from the ground? That doesn't sound like fun to me.

The third movie was just weird. A big flop. Different actors/actresses with the exception of a few who were dumb enough to do a third one. I don't know...sounds like an expensive risk making this into a game...

If only they were making it into an FPS type game... It could borrow elemts from Serious Sam, albeit, the game would need more enemies than just a giant worm, which I am sure isn't too hard to do!

If they mix elements from all 3. You could have the worms, the littler ones with the heat sensing, and the flying ones. Then throw in other crap to make the game longer.

News from NGxlC.com:

In a recent announcement, Rock Solid Studios and Conspiracy Entertainment revealed they were developing a new game for PS2, GC, and XBox based on the seven-year old movie, Tremors.

However, no details were given about the nature of the gameplay at that time.

Another announcement today reveals that despite many gamers' first notions, the game will actually be a type of racing game.

Gamers will race virtual radio controlled trucks carrying dynamite against time in order to make the movement-sensing "Tremor" monsters similar to those of the movie swallow the truck and then kill the Tremor with the powerful explosives. A similar scenario was used in the sequel to Tremors in order to kill the otherwise deadly monsters.

Also revealed is that gamers will be able to actually push the detonation button and "realistically experience the explosive magic of the movie."

There's a reason that link doesn't work. I was feeling bored, and I thought it would be kinda funny if that was actually what the game was like. Though it might actually be fun if they did it right...

You are cruel, thank god that wasn't any indication of what the game would be like . Although it does sound intruiging. They could easily implement that into the game as a sort of one off thing, or maybe do that in several parts of the game...
