Penguin's Auto Modellista Preview
Well since Stu's pics were so beautiful
I decided to write my own little preview with info from my PSM magazine.....
Auto Modellista is Capcom's first foray into the racing genre. The game is being designed by Yoshiro Sudo who has previously worked on Marvel vs Capcom 2, Power Stone 2 and the Capcom vs SNK series.
The first thing one will notice about Auto Modellista is it's visual. The game uses a cel-shaded technique to give the game a more cartoony look. As Sudo puts it the visuals help to make the cars stlyish. He said " the car itself is such a cool and stylish machine and we really want that to come across well in the game."
According to the sudo the game will also play like no racing game before it. The game will not shot for a realistic simulation type feel, but more for a fun, interesting game that is both unique and has a stylish feel.
The game will take some features from GT 3: A-Spec as it will sport cars and features based off of real world cars, and the cars will be licnesed.
The game will support online play atleast in Japan. Sudo is a little shaky on the PS2's online plan in American so didn't comment on it. Also will feature Hard Disk Drive support for all the car customization.

-edit: good post, BaB...

This game looks really cool, I might consider purchasing it, after hearing more about it that is... Just off the topic though, was this game announced for the Gc? Or even the Xbox?
