Yay!
I get to tell the story of Mother.
Earthbound, as we call it here in the states, was released on the SNES.
But previous to that, there was another "Mother" game on the NES that was released in Japan and not in the US. Now the game was translated and everything, but they decided not to market it in the US. The prototype cartridges that were translated were auctioned off (there were only 2 or 3).
It was discovered by a couple of ROM Dumpers discovered that the game existed in a translated state, so they payed $500 to get it copied onto a computer. Thus you can download it on your computer on many ROM websites (which ones I'll not disclose).
Now, many of us hardcore Mother players are disappointed that the game didn't make it here. We're also upset that Mother 3 for N64 wasn't released.
So the prospect that the game (or a new one) might be released is very exciting
