Default Server and Local characters.

Ok, for the couple of you fine folks getting this game, there's two ways we can play online, with local and with server characters. Local characters are saved on your HD, you can export them from your single player game, and start playing multiplayer with it.

Server characters are stored on the server. For instance, someone would host a GT server, and at certain times we would all get together and play. Then the characters stay on the server, and next time you connect you play more with it. Basically it prevents cheating, and also prevents people from making more progress without the group.

Just something to think about for me, Neo, and Bond, and the rest of you bastard who we're gonna kill unless you pick this game up.

I think the server sounds like the best way to go, but I don't really care if we use server or local characters... I just want to actually play online and get it to work.

I still have to decide on a character. It's not an easy process. So do I need to wait and create the character on whichever server we use?

No, go ahead and make a local character (as in normal).

And no, but it can be far more advanced than I put it. I've seen some people making like a fighter/rouge and crap like that, mix and matching stuff. Weird.
