That's a lot of money for 1989...
Computers may be $20 when I'm a senior citizen.

We had Tandy 1000, I think those were the ones I had in my old JHS.
Anyhow, my new school got those nifty Macs with lots of power talks to my tecxh obessed English teacher.

If you cast you eye over the text...
"MS OS/2"
Ah, those were the days... it's a pity that MS and IBM had a row, otherwise Windows wouldn't suck quite so much. OS/2 was great whilst it lasted...

We have like a Tandy 2000 or something down in the basement... I don't think it's hooked up anymore, but for a looooong time my dad used it for business records and simple stuff like that... We didn't get a more modern computer until... 1997 I think? Something like that... and when that happened, we moved the tandy up to my room because at the time there was no room in the basement, and I figured I could get some use out of those old games (wheel of fortune, space invaders, castle, chessmaster, and some others )... But eventually we got another computer for up here... around 98 or 99 (it's the one I still use... I need a new computer ) and the tandy is now sitting in basement behind the stairs covered in a ton of crap...
'tis a shame... All the good ol' days when I was a wee child... on the tandy...

Nevermind I checked with my dad and it's a tandy 1000... he said he bought in in January of 86, and it turns out that that's when they were starting to phase it out...
Not that anybody cares..

So, how many of you have used a TRS-80 Color Computer 2 with 64 bits of RAM?
I have, and I still love the thing, my former Computer-camp teachder, soon to be my boss, has a ton of them, mostly the TRS-80 Model 3 with 128 Bits instead of 64, bvut they're still the best Tandy-rdioshack PC's ever, if I found one on eBay I might even buy it someday, Robocop was awesome on that for it's day, and those other Tandy's, I loved them, MS 0S/2 was great even though I preferred DOS. I still wish M$ had been disolved after Windows 98 came out, because now that windows XP is out, it's screwing the PC industry over onto it's side. Why can't Bill $5 dollar haircut gates take a long walk off a short cliff and spare the rest of the world? *sigh* Dos, OS/2, Apple OS, those were the days, Games for the PC came from the NES (TMNT1 for MS-DOS anyone) and the operating system was fun to "tweak" once you got the hang of it, I spent a ton of time in my 486's autoexec.bat and config.sys tweaking it at least once every other week.
For the recpord TMNT1 for the NES really was LEGALLY released on the PCV, with Password portection on that annyoing red-paper that you couldn't read, and the ability to save the game instead of continues, I loved that, I still wish I could be using DOS right now, because it was so much better than winblows.
