I think it's 2K3.

2K2 had it's problems. Players would cath the ball just by it coming near them. Catching it through their ankle on the run, through their back, etc.

If you do get this, please let me know if this stuff has been improved.

The game is by far the best baseball title currently available for the Xbox, or any system for that matter. The only thing that is a little odd is Sega screwed up the skin color of some players, quite funny actually. A definite buy.

I picked up this game. It's much better than WSB 2K2.

I personally like Home Run King better, because I like the hitting and pitching system a lot more. However in WSB you hit more fly balls, which is more realistic, and you seem to hit more of them to different areas, as opposed to hitting many similar pitches. There's more variety.

The Xbox's HD can be put to good use if you're into the long season/franchise thing. From the looks of it, you can have multiple seasons and franchises going at the same time.

If you're a big realistic baseball fan, ASB 2003 might be the one you want. Personally I'm not. Home Run King is definetly more of an arcade type game, and WSB 2K3 seems like it's in the middle.

Let's put it this way, even if you own ASB 2003 and Home Run King, you still won't be disapointed with this game. Sega done good
