I Kill Giants (Read-Along-Song)
After 100 issues of 100 Bullets thought it might be easier to go with a short miniseries (7 issues) for the next comic book read along. I present to you:

She’s taken her fantasy life a little far, and really only talks about giants to people. She’s convinced that giants are real and giants are coming, and it’s her responsibility to stop them when they show up. This weird little fantasy life that she’s going has started seeping into her real life, and as we see things from her point of view, we see that she sees pixies and she sees signs in the clouds and other things that might be telling her that bad things might be coming.

Enjoy.
Then come back and discuss.

Okay, I'm down for this, its only 7 issues, I'm sure MOST of us can finish it this time.
What's the reading schedule like? One a day for a week?
Anyhow, read the first issue.
I like the main character, weird that walks around with bunny ears all the time.

Re: I Kill Giants (Read-Along-Song)
I finished the first issue as well. Barbara is pretty funny, I like her style. I like that the settings seems a little more...I guess realistic is the word than it should.
Hopefully there's not much more character development because it doesn't seem to me like there's much more time to get things going since it's only 7 issues long. Let's hope for some more explanations about things as days go by.

Issue 3 and still no real signs of her killing giants!
That said, its been an interesting story, with some intriguing points. Curious who ***** is and why reacts so badly.

I need to keep up with those. I'll give another few issues a go tonight when I get home from class.

Re: I Kill Giants (Read-Along-Song)
I saw the TPB at the bookstore I was at today and it reminded me that this exists. I'm gonna finish the first season and the first movie of Cardcaptor Sakura and hit these up again.
I ended up walking out of the bookstore with Volumes One and Two of The Losers and Blankets (a phenomenal GN, even though it's mad depressing).

Re: I Kill Giants (Read-Along-Song)
Ok and just finished! I really enjoyed it, although I kinda saw the whole depressing undertones and her trying to suppress something bad that happened thing coming.
It was a very enjoyable read, although sadly a quick one.

Re: I Kill Giants (Read-Along-Song)
Interview with the author if you're interested: http://www.ifanboy.com/podcasts/audi...Man__and_more_
Starts talking about the book about 23 min. Before that is how he got into the industry and his work on Deadpool.
Explains the ears, and the inspiration for the characters and story.
His recent Spider-man stuff has been awesome. The interview is from June so they don't talk about it but he did a recent 2 issue Spider-man story on the Rhino. If you thought I Kill Giants was sad... #617 and #625
