Wii and DS both broke the record for most consoles/handhelds sold in a single month.
PS3 has its first month over a million, which also makes it the highest selling month for the console.

The PS2 continues to do exceedingly well going on its 10th year.

Hm what happens if we add the November sales to that?

MW2 360: 4.20+1.63 = 5.83M
NSMBW Wii: 1.39+2.82 = 4.21M
MW2 PS3: 1.87+1.12 = 1.99M

I guess Reggie lost.

I'll bring this over from the last thread I mentioned. As of last month, NSMBWii beat MW2 to 10 million on a single console.

I mean, Reggie was still wrong, but I'm sure that's a point they are going to press.

Why wouldn't worldwide numbers include Japan?

I know roughly, at the end of Dec that Mw 2 had a half a million unit lead on NSMBW combined in worldwide figure, and we really won't have complete stats until sometime in Feb.

Obviously the number would include Japan if it indeed was worldwide - that's not what the parenthesis were for. They were eluding to the fact that NSMB would outsell MW2 in Japan by a whole lot.

Yeah the japanese aren't big on FPS games. Which is unfortunate because there's a lot of japanese kids who would be very good at them.

To not see Uncharted 2 in the top 20 is...well, somewhat upsetting. :/ Not that I care which company makes more money or whatever, but if any game ever truly deserved to do well in sales...

That's been a source of personal disappointment as well, but according to Sony its total sales in the State is circling 950k, which is good.

Sony just can't seem to sell their first party affairs.
