Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
Day Ten
And so it ends.
---
The Dead
Teuthida – Boba Fett (Villager) – Killed by the Mafia in round eight
Bube - Princess Leia (Villager) - Killed by the vote in round eight
Previously Dead
The Germanator – Yoda (Villager) – Killed by the Mafia in round seven
Nighthawk – Emperor Palpatine (Villager) – Killed by the vote in round seven
Vampyr – Qui-Gon Jinn (Villager) – Killed by the Mafia in round six
tornadothrasher – Jabba the Hutt (Mafia) – Killed by the vote in round six
jeepnut – Padme Amidala (Villager) – Killed by the Mafia in round five
Swan – R2-D2 (Villager) – Killed by the vote in round five
Dylflon – Chewbacca (Seer) – Killed by the Mafia in round four
thatmariolover – Obi-Wan Kenobi (Villager) – Killed by the vote in round four
Fyacin - C-3PO (Vigilante) - Killed by the Mafia in round three
BreakABone - Admiral Ackbar (Mafia) - Killed by the vote in round three
Ric - Darth Vader (Villager) - Killed by the Vigilante in round two
Darmani - Darth Maul (Villager) - Killed by the Mafia in round two
Combine - Jango Fett (Mafia) - Killed by the vote in round two
Typhoid – Luke Skywalker (Guardian) – Killed by the Mafia in round one
Manasecret – Lando Calrissian (Villager) – Killed by the vote in round one
Player / Character List
1. Angrist - Han Solo (Villager)
2. BlueFire - General Grievous (Mafia)
MAFIA WINS!
I have just a few observations:
- The mafia were at somewhat of an advantage, as the villagers had one less player than they should have.
- Jeepnut had the game completely figured out all the way back in round 3, after Combine died, he posted this:
Quote:
Alright, so just in case I don't survive this round, I'm letting everyone know my suspicions.
Swan - Went out of his way to concoct a theory where me voting off Combine makes sense.
BaBs - Obviously
BlueFire - Voted for BaBs last round when he claimed to be siding with Ric and now seems to be reluctant choose.
tornadothrasher - Has been keeping a low profile. What little he has contributed has been presented without much explanation.
Nighthawk - To a much lesser degree. I'm not sure if he's hiding behind his inability to contribute more, but obviously, I feel he's reached the wrong conclusion.
|
- The villagers missed a key clue that revealed who was the last mafia. Bube was inactive last round, meaning it would be impossible for him to be mafia, as the mafia killed a player.
- BlueFire really won the game for the mafia - congratulations!

Yes most of the credit goes to Bluefire for flying under the radar until the very end, but we did it!

Dang, we kind of blew it. Bluefire would've been my vote had I been around to tell, but oh well. Getting it to 1-1 wasn't too bad of a result, my voting record was pretty good except for Nighthawk.

Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
Lies, I thought it was Angrist, despite his posts. Looks like BLueFire fooled me.
At least I sowed the seed's of BaB's demise during round two even though they did not come to fruition till round three, when jeepnut watered them.
Fyacin? What the fook man? You Vigilante'd me. How could I have made it any clearer that I was a good guy? Not even a PM to try and find out first? Seems odd that the Mafia killed my brother Darmani on the same night. What happened there then? You fear our early alliance with one another?
In all honesty I think the fact the mafia won is down to some shoddy playing by the villagers in the last few rounds. You lost your heart for the game guys, what happened aye? You were on fire then suddenly just died down and seemed to give up. I was so frustrated because I had noticed what Bond mentions above. I could sware Bube was not Mafia but could not say. I shouted at the pc but no one heared me.
BLueFire, didn't see that one, you duped me man.
So anyway as I said all the way back at the start (in the rules thread) -

Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
Eh, I feel like I totally failed as a vigilante. Bluefire was actually going to be my kill on the night I died, but I didn't have time to change it.
I have a question for the Mafia though, how did you manage to pick me out like that?

Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
Wow. I'm surprised I actually made it. Seriously.
Angrist, Bube, jeepnut and Germy- you guys were the biggest threats. I honestly didn't think I'd make it past Round 5 or 6. That was a lot of fun.
And for the most part... luck was on my side.

So I finally get to explain this.
It was actually pretty easy since the villagers gave us all the information.
Let's start with the Seer, Dylflon came out and told us he was the Seer so we knew that from round 1. He also did us a favor as I intended to kill him round 1 as he had the most experience, he was also the most deadly oppenent, but as he asked the Guardian for protection, I didn't waste the kill.
The Guardian, thanks to Dylflon tipping off the thread that he was in contact with the supposed Vigilante, I narrowed the field down to those he knew in real life which was Typhoid and Swan, Typhoid made the most sense because of their relationship, and he all but confirmed it to me while talking during round one.
The Vigilante, I suspected was either Swan or Fyacin due to the lack of a kill in round 1, but when he killed in round 2 and Swan wasn't active at all, I figured it out. Germie also helped as he sent me a message showing that at the end of round 2, Jeepnut, Ric and Fyacin were all PMing, I already knew Ric and Jeepnut were in an alliance so figured Fyacin was the Vigilante and was trying to get his kill in last second.
We didn't kill Dylflon after killing the Guardian because we needed some way to divert the attention that idea came from Teuthida as I originally intended to kill off Dylflon in round 2, but he mentioned that if he was Mafia, he would keep him alive in hopes that people voted him off in round 3.
Before my death, I left Bluefire a list of people to kill and why
Dylflon because he had the best chance of figuring us out.
Jeepnut because no one in their right mind would vote against him.
Vamp becuse he and Teuthida were the only two who were confirmed goodies once Dylflon was confirmed as Seer.
No one expected the game to last that long so I'm glad Bluefire made some snap calls in his kills essentially breaking up little alliances.
And a lot of luck helped in the final round.
So once again thanks to team Dark Side, Combine, Tornado, myself and of course Bluefire!

Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
Really, I almost think us killing BaBs was the action that made it all fall apart for the villagers. As soon as he died, I felt lost and didn't know where to turn from there. He was the only one I was sure of.
That was a great game though. I'm looking forward to the next one. Very well played BlueFire.

Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
Got lazy once it was proven I was a goodie and didn't have to go so deep into my reasons why I thought someone was a goodie or baddie. Just voted for whoever after that.
But kind of funny though. Every single mafia game I make it to the very last round only to lose and die.

Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
Tornado not posting for two rounds also caused some confusion for a while, we didn't have anything to go on.
I think in the future if you miss more than 1 round you should get killed. :P

Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
I enjoyed spectating the game to say the least, and hopefully will be around and have enough time to participate in the next game. I think BaB was the only super-suspect guy throughout the whole thing, everyone else played a pretty low-key game. I don't think I'll ever trust BaB in a mafia game.

Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
I can't really comment on anything since I was the first one killed in the game, because Dylflon said he was in contact with someone claiming to be the vigilante (which I never actually claimed to be - I just didn't answer him when he asked me what I was).
I did however watch every thread, and it seemed obvious (to me, anyhow) that Tornado and BF was mafia. I also assumed Three Dog was, because he owed me a backstabbing after last game.
The vigilante seemed to lack purpose at times, however. Which was a major downfall for the innocents.

Haha. Blast, wrong decision after suspecting BF all this time!!
That's really a shame... I figured my last minute thinking really made sense, but I should have went with my instinct.

Yeah I agree. It sucks SO much that each mafia player can just fake inactivity for 2 days.
Bond, you say Bube was inactive in the previous round, so he couldn't be mafia. How can you know for sure? He could just have gotten in to get in his PM kill, but not his posts/vote. The reason I figure he went to bed early was because he had already picked a victim, and he was the only member left, so didn't need to discuss it.
Well played BlueFire. I still can't believe I went for Bube in the end. Sorry Bube.
BF, now you and me are the only ones left in the galaxy, how swell.
