Default The E3 Zelda Thread

So there is not much prE3 news for Nintendo, the only credible thing I have been able to find so far is this;

The Legend of Zelda series always nabs our attention and for good reason: each instalment of this massive adventure series is a veritable masterpiece.

Though we have scant few details on Spirit Tracks, there's no doubt that it will prove to be another hit. Even if it's only a couple of new screenshots, any new information on this high profile DS title should be exciting.

And here is a video:

Will we get our first 'hands on' experience with this at E3? Let's hope so.

We already knew about this though really. What I want to see would be a Wii Relese.

So any other news or comments about Zelda at this coming E3 post it here

I don't know about Spirit Tracks. The gameplay in that video doesn't appeal to me at all. Maybe it's because I got fed up with Phantom Hourglass because of that one dungeon. I never finished it, at one point I didn't know where to go.

The touch screen controls were refreshing, but now when I think of it... brr, just give me a proper 3D Zelda.

On the Wii.

Edit: more than a year ago I did some predictions on the next Zelda. It would be fun if some of them came true, so I'll recap them here:
- Using an improved version of the TP engine
- A direct sequel to TP, probably a sidequest story
- The theme will be shapeshifting (not just a wolf, but also a seal, a mountain goat, an eagle...) and there will be another theme that uses the WiiMote (maybe dancing?) Maybe more emphasis on the weather.
- Greatly enhanced sword controls.
- Better graphics, more story, a more lively world.
- Perhaps an online arena option, where you can duke it out with the weapons you found in singleplayer.
- Out in 2010.

This is a source from a link BaB posted in the Pre3 Thread:

Both Mario and Zelda teams have been busily working for other two years - will we see new instalments? (PLEASE GOD YES)
We know they will be showing Zelda Spirit Tracks. I am certain they will anyway. I seem to remember rumours the next console release in development even when TP was released though I really think we are gonna see this at E3. I have, shall we say 'a feeling' It seems inevitable to me.

*Hopes he is pot proved wrong*
