The Yes Man Challenge
I am watching the movie, and its a decent enough movie, but the concept is interesting.
So thinking of going like a weekend of saying yes to any request or anything. Would anyone else be interested in doing something similar?

Re: The Yes Man Challenge
no. I think that's a little too silly. Maybe in hollywood lalaland but not in NYC. There's yes and no for good reason.

Re: The Yes Man Challenge
Yeah, this might be a pretty difficult thing to do in real life. For example, if I had been asked to do something tonight and went and didn't get back in time for my show tomorrow because I agreed to go to brunch or something, then I'd miss my show and not make money, etc. etc. Too many consequences.
Plus, you'd have no way not to get raped.

To be fair, it's not even a question. It's more like,
"You Gonna Get Raped"
instead of
"Is it alright if I rape you?"

Re: The Yes Man Challenge
Well I'm just curious what you folks think of my city?
I've lived here for most of my 24 years on this Earth... and not once has a random person walked up to me on the street and asked me if I wanted to be raped... nor have I been asked to help rob a bank... or plan a terrorist attack... Most people in this city tend to ignore anyone who isn't them.
But we shall see, I still think it would be an interesting experiment. Maybe, in a more controlled environment.
I'm more afraid of friends finding out because hell I would abuse it.

Re: The Yes Man Challenge
I've been to NYC many times and from my experience it's full of bank robbers, rapists, and terrorists. Seriously. The only "New Yorkers" I have met have fallen into one of those three categories. Why am I saying this? I asked myself whether I should say derogatory statements about NYC and since I was playing the "Yes man" game I decided, "sure, yeah, I should say these things, that's how the game goes."
BTW, yes, I've been drinking.

You gotta come out to Queens. It's a terrorist bank robbin' rapefest.
I tried the yes man challenge today. All that happened was I got a sweet potato I didn't really want.

I tried doing that last night for my birthday.
It just resulted in me getting too many free drinks, and Dylflon's girlfriend mad at me for agreeing with her.
