Food!!
I love food. I know that sounds stupid, but I really do. I also enjoy looking at pictures of food, and occasionally, cooking! Tomorrow, I plan on cooking this:
http://dinnersforayear.blogspot.com/...and-thyme.html
I like chicken a lot. Chicken > Beef. But it's also a mood thing. Sometimes you're in the mood for a big steak.
I'm going to aim to make this for the weekend: http://fromwhencethesweetbirdsang.bl...ed-steaks.html
And for any other food lovers, this website is your place of worship:
http://tastespotting.com/
Awesome pics of all types of foods and if you click on them, they should lead you to the recipe. Guaranteed to make you hungry.
Anyway, who here likes cooking? Use this thread to talk about food. Food is gooood.

Re: Food!!
Yeah, my girlfriend loves cooking, and I love eating. Tastespotting is a great website, and makes me way too hungry when I shouldn't be.

Re: Food!!
I ate one of my favorite foods, Dolma, about three times today; Lunch, Dinner, and Second Dinner :-)
"Dolma is a family of stuffed vegetable dishes in the cuisines of the former Ottoman Empire and surrounding regions, including Turkey, Egypt, Albania, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, the Balkans, Greece, Iraq, Iran and Central and South Asia. Perhaps the best-known is the grape-leaf dolma, which is more precisely called yaprak dolma or sarma. Common vegetables to stuff include zucchini, eggplant, tomato and pepper. The stuffing may or may not include meat. Meat dolma are generally served warm, often with sauce; meatless ones are generally served cold, though meatless Dolma are eaten both ways in Iran. Both are often eaten with yoghurt."

Re: Food!!
Damn, seeing this food reminds me of my dads cooking..ohhh is he a good cook. Best recent memory when visiting him and his side of the family was he smoked ribs outside most/all day (I can't recall since I'm not the chef), after preparing them the day before and letting it all get together.
The meat just nearly melted off the bone when it came time to eat. No need to rip or tear at it, you just pull it straight off and eat it. Tender, juicy, best I've ever had so far (and his home made crab rangoons are friggin awesome since he uses real crab meat and makes it all himself)

Re: Food!!
Funny you should bring this up, because I'm currently smoking split chicken breasts stuffed with Proscuittino and Grana Padana, with local grown corn on the cobb on the side.
I also made my own crab rangoon the other night while experiementing with my deep fryer and wanton wraps. My favorite were my experiment fried pear and blue cheese wontons with a balsamic reduction drizzled over top...

That's probably my favorite food as well. Well, the kind stuffed with meat and cooked.
Although I've never seen the non-meat version eaten with yoghurt
Btw, "dolma" means "[something] stuffed" and "sarma" means "[something] wrapped". Very original names
