Game of the Year 2007

Dunno if anybody posted this. IGN and Gamespot recently had GOTY for 2007, and it the overall GOTY was Super Mario Galaxy

I think it was one of the most refreshing, enjoyable games I've played....since a very long time. I remember picking it up and flying to other galaxies looking at how diverse and colourful the levels were.

Now I'm off to the shops to buy Mass Effect. I hope it's good

But for me, hands down Mario Galaxy was the game of the year. Followed by the Orange Box.

The Orange Box was fantabulous. Game of the Year for me...

Team Fortress 2 is by far the most uplifting multiplayer game to grace the internet since Counter-Strike. Oh yes, unlimited replayability ad infinitum. You know the mod community is already all over it? They have already made Warpath and a whole slew of other maps, including a remake of TFC's Well.

Also, two official maps are coming out within the next 2 months, including Badlands. I can't wait to see a remake of Rock2.

TF2...sooo much fun. So balanced...so polished...and that's just 1/3 of the Orange Box. Portal is still the most innovative and tightly-polished game to come out this year imo.

Cant argue with Galaxy. There are a few moments in gaming that leave such a lasting impact you remember them like they were yesterday. This first time I ran around the Castle courtyard in Super Mario 64 was one of them. Pulling out the Master Sword and turning into Adult Link in OOT was another. And the first time I blasted from Planet to Planet was another moment I'll never forget. For that, its a no brainer.
