I just had to make a thread for this amazing game. Wow, I was totally surprised and impressed. It has perhaps the best ending, and certainly the best credits of any game I've ever played.

I loved Portal. It does indeed have one of the best endings/credit sequences ever. I just beat all the advanced maps. I'm going through challenge maps now.

I hate all the in-jokes.

I asked for the Orange Box for PS3 for my birthday though, so maybe in 4 days I'll find out why cake is so funny.

You're a little late to the party, Mr. Bond.

I know. I know.

But in my defense, I did just get Orange Box yesterday. I'm looking forward to trying out the advanced levels after I beat Mass Effect.

The part where you get the cake is the best.

Also, weighted companion cube is our best friend.

Thought the trash during the final boss battle was awesome.

"There was even going to be a party for you. A big party, that all of your
friends were invited to. I invited your best friend, 'the Companion Cube'. Of
course, he couldn't come, because you murdered him. All your other friends
couldn't come either, because you don't have any other friends because of how
unlikable you are. It says so right here in your personnel file; 'Unlikable.
Liked by no one. A bitter unlikable loner whose passing shall not be mourned.'
SHALL NOT BE MOURNED. That's exactly what it says. Very formal. Very official.
It also says you were adopted. So that's funny too."

The developer commentary is also pretty sweet. The hybrid physics bubble they had to implement is absolutely amazing.

When I get a new PC, I just might get The Orange Box. The demo I played of HL2 was a bit too gory. And the low framerate hurt my head, but that was the problem of my PC.
HL1 couldn't entertain me for longer than the first 90% of the game. Even though I own Opposing Force, I never played it. If I ever find my CD again, maybe I'll try it.
