What the hell is wrong with the developers that would make them put running events in?

I mean, isn't it safe to assume Sonic would win every single running event?

How ****ed up is it that they allow Nintendo characters to be able to beat Sonic?

I have no idea where they would get an idea for a track game in the Olympics..

Its baffling really...
