Super Smash Bros Brawl: Assist Trophies

The newest Smash Bros. Brawl update reveals a new item into the Smash universe in the form of the Assist Trophies.

The Assist Trophies call forth aid from other characters to be used in battle. The Assist Trophies work a lot like the Pokeballs in the sense that they call forth various characters that will attack all enemies on the screen and not harm the player who used the item. Like the Pokemon, players won't be able to control the characters that appear from the trophy but rest assured they will do their part. So far only three characters have been revealed, which include Samurai Goro from F-Zero, a Nintendog, and a Hammer Bro.

Samurai Goro will slash his way through the stage with his blade slicing up anyone who gets in his way. The Hammer Bro will throw his famed hammers at the enemies and the Nintendog will block the screen like shown in the E3 2006 trailer.

There will be many more Assisted Trophy characters within the game. Stay tuned for more Smash updates.

If everyone was playing on the same tv wouldn't the Nintendog also block the users view.....? more like an unassist trophey.

Its like a cheap rip-off the the squid ink gimmick in Mario Kart DS.

I recall that you only get inked if you're in first place and use the squid, due to the fact the squid inks the people that are in front of you, but if noone is ahead it kinda glitchs and only inks you.

You can use the puppy whenever yóu want, when you're in a safe place.
