Little Big Planet (must see)
http://www.gametrailers.com/
Under the 'newest media' scrolling section, it currently is on the 2nd page. It is a simple demonstration of how you can mess around creating things in this little gem of a game. The video I've seen before was 4 player co-op through a platform level...really cool thing is you can make your own levels, and share them on PSN...apparently you can rank them and they will be displayed youtube-style ready to download.
Anyways, check out anything related to this game...think "Excitebike" level creator taken to the extreme.

Yeah I saw this, it looks very cute. The sharp graphics really add to the experience.

Re: Little Big Planet (must see)
That movie is awesome........ I wonder if the game will sell well to 'tough' gamers. In my opinion it should, but I have 'tough' friends who wouldn't play Mario games etc.

This shows off the entire demonstration, some really cool things here...
- the game will be downloadable sometime this year, while a Blu-Ray retail version will be available next year...they will include a bunch of the best user-created levels on the Blu-Ray version
-there looks to be a user-created level 'universe' where you can navigate through your friends levels, the top rated levels, leave comments and such, not unlike YouTube
This could be a game that keeps on giving...the advanced physics make the possibilities of mechanics almost limitless, and with players making their own levels, we'll see a crazy variety. This is something I could see myself messing around with for a loooong time, it looks really cool.

I love that they embraced this idea, shows how in-touch they are with current culture. Helllooooooooo Nintendo, are you watching??? Somehow I doubt it...

I wonder if the game developers will add more and more objects as time passes, or if they will let gamers make their own objects somehow. Otherwise I foresee the puzzles getting stale pretty quickly.

Objects are something that can be added over time, so I highly doubt the developers would be stupid enough to let the game go stale because of lack of object variety. I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem...

Re: Little Big Planet (must see)
Looks really neat. I also liked what I saw about that PS3 "home" thing. This might push me over the edge to nab a PS3 next year.
