New WM x-8 Screens .. Somewhat

Where in the blue hell is the black and white screen? Where I ask you.

I pray to the gaming gods and goddesses that this is on top of a table because if that is from the ring.

Well it looks like he is setting up for the big leg. Um it's a little akward to see him stop like that but eh. And for the record is that Royal Rumble 2002 arena?

Americans with their wrestling... Worst thing is, it's getting popular in Holland too!

I'm wondering if you people who don't like wrestling have even seen a good match.

Yeah i actually tried to like it but never really got into it. I liked it when i was little with Mr.Perfect and shawn michaels andthe clown guy and vader and all those cool people. Now i dont like it anymore altho a bunch of friends usually come over to watch things like Wrestle Mania and Royal rumble cause im the only one that gets the channel. They usually have to explain all these things to me.

Ever notice how people who don't like wrestling love to talk about how much they don't like it?
BTW, if these are new screens, they don't seem to have shown much improvement over the last batch we've seen. I hope they clean up those body models and put a little more detail into them before release.

I agree Strangler, I was trying to tell Penguin on AIM that WWF WMx8 isn't showing much (or any) visual improvement.
(Or course, BreakABone says the Animation has got better even though he hasn't seen a video)

Well, first off there has only been two "batches" of screens released. There were the ones in late Jan which were from the 50% complete version.
then the ones released in like mid-March from the 65% build. Almost every screen since then has been from that version even the movies at THQ.com. So the only fair compariso for improvement would be the ones released in Jan and every one since then.
As for the animation, that got a little confusing. I see where you got what I said, but I didn't mean like the animation in motion. From the still shoots, some of the details look great IMO. Like the Angle/Austin screen (Which isn't posted in this thread), it shows nice details on the Ankle Lock. but not just on the part of Angle but also on the detail the person selling the move gives. I mean if you saw the screen you could see Austin holding his head in pain (Or atleast I hope it's in pain) well his other hand is desperately reaching out to grab the rope. That screen looked like it could be taken from any one of their matches last summer.
I hope that cleared it up a bit.

I Guess RAW kind of spoiled us all in the graphical areas, where it was simply one of the best looking games I have ever seen.
But the team that is developing WMX8 for Yukes has a very good track record of making up for average graphics by giving you the best gameplay and CAW around. Lets hope they keep this tradition alive and well.
